"Hypershell X Ultra tops off the company’s range of exoskeletons, and features higher power motors and a lighter frame, made possible through the use of materials like titanium and carbon fiber."

"Hypershell X feels remarkably natural. It has an AI-powered algorithm with 12 different sensors, including an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, and several different temperature sensors, and it weighs a mere 5 pounds."

"It might still be early days for exoskeletons, but Hypershell is starting to make the case that one day, this kind of tech could be as common as a fitness tracker."

"I walked, hiked, and ran with the exoskeleton, and immediately noticed a difference between turning assistance on and off."

"This shift from massive, clunky machines into a lightweight frame you can wear on a weekend trip is part of Hypershell’s larger mission: to make wearable robotics as normal as backpacks."

"After spending a few hours with the exoskeleton strapped on, what’s perhaps most remarkable is how polished the whole experience feels."

Protect Your Knees

Reduce joint impact on steep descents with Descent Assist. By recognizing downward motion, Ultra shifts assistive power to reduce landing impact and stabilize your supporting leg — helping protect your joints and reduce wear and tear.

4 New Postures for Ultra

  • Cycling+
  • Running+
  • Snow
  • Dune

Tuned for responsive, natural riding, Cycling+ Mode refines torque output and pedal synchronization, offering stronger starts, improved acceleration control, and smoother cadence across any pace.

Designed for sprinting and interval bursts, Running+ Mode delivers a torque boost during acceleration, providing explosive power and seamless stride integration at high speeds.

Engineered for snowshoeing and backcountry trails, Snow Mode intelligently adjusts torque for deep snow and loaded strides, reducing fatigue and resistance across long, cold treks.

Built for desert hikes and sandy terrain, Dune Mode stabilizes movement on soft, shifting surfaces, helping you maintain steady footing through dunes, sand flats, and loose terrain.

1. Decrease in heart rate and oxygen consumption while cycling was measured during lab-controlled indoor cycling with the exoskeleton configured to optimal assistance settings. Compared to cycling without exoskeleton assistance, average heart rate decreased by 42.7%, and oxygen consumption decreased by 39.2%. Data were collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user condition, riding style, and bicycle model.

2. Decrease in heart rate, oxygen consumption, and muscle load while walking was measured during lab-controlled treadmill walking at 3.5 km/h on a 7° incline, with the exoskeleton configured to optimal assistance settings and using surface electromyography (EMG). Compared to walking without exoskeleton assistance, average heart rate decreased by 22.3%, oxygen consumption decreased by 20.5%, and muscle activation of the iliopsoas and rectus femoris decreased by up to 63.7% during the swing phase, indicating a reduction in muscle load based on fatigue signals. Data were collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user physiology, and walking style.

3. Battery range while walking in Eco Mode was measured during lab-controlled treadmill walking at 4 km/h on a 1° incline, with the exoskeleton set at 30% power. 7.5 hours reflect continuous movement until battery depletion. Data were collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user physiology, and walking style.

4. Battery range while walking in Hyper Mode was measured during lab-controlled treadmill walking at 4 km/h on a 1° incline, with the exoskeleton set at 100% power. 80 minutes reflect continuous movement until battery depletion. Data were collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user physiology, and walking style.

5. Battery range of 42,000 steps while walking was estimated based on a total range of 30 km in Eco Mode and an average step length of 0.7 meters. Under these conditions, a single battery supports approximately 42,000 steps. Actual step count may vary depending on user height, stride pattern, terrain, and assistance level.

6. Battery range while cycling in Eco Mode was measured during lab-controlled indoor cycling at 20 km/h with the exoskeleton set to Eco Mode at 30% power. 3.3 hours reflect continuous movement until battery depletion. Data were collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user condition, riding style, and bicycle model.

7. Battery range while cycling in Hyper Mode was measured during lab-controlled indoor cycling at 20 km/h with the exoskeleton set to Hyper Mode at 100% power. 1.7 hours reflect continuous movement until battery depletion. Data was collected under controlled lab conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, terrain, load, user condition, riding style, and bicycle model.
